A complete model of human embryo was created out side womb in lab, and grown up to 2 weeks.

This is a scientific breakthrough a group of researchers at Weizmann Institute in Israel.

This cannot develop into a full foetus as it passes the stage to fix to the womb and placenta. But they are very helpful in assessing the effect of different medicines on real embryo. As the pregnant women are not included in drug study, the toxicity of the drug on fetes were postulated from the result on animal models.
