The Faster You Eat, the More You Gain Weight

An evidence based article from 'Authority Nutrition'

In todays busy world most of the people eat fast, but mind you it takes about 20 minutes for your brain to realise that you are satisfied. Especially noted in children that more than 65% of children who gobble up are over weight.

Tips to slow down eating.

Never eat while watching tv.

When ever possible put the fork or spoon down when mouth is full.

Chew throughly and appreciate taste and flavours of food.

Drink sips of water in between.

Take small bites of food.

This may increase the level of your satiety hormone production and you feel more full. Satiety hormone from the satiety centre of the brain, is the chemical which tells us that you are full and satisfied.

Best eating practice is eat with out distraction, avoid excess hunger, drinking plenty of water doing eating and chew more and appreciate all the senses of the food.
